Server Overview

A quick explanation of what HorizonGames is, what it focuses on, and what players should expect.

HorizonGames is a community-focused Minecraft Bedrock server built around progression, competition, and social gameplay. It is a non-profit community project led by Jqke207, and the current version is still in beta while gamemodes, systems, and quality-of-life features continue to be improved.

Community First

The server is built to keep players engaged, connected, and encouraged to invite friends.

Progression Focus

Systems like social features, guilds, and gameplay rewards are designed to make playing feel worth it.

Competitive Play

Duels, Bedfight, Bedwars, Skywars, and events give players something to grind and improve at.

Always Improving

Because the server is in development, player feedback and testing matter a lot.

Useful mentality for players

Treat HorizonGames like a growing community. Test features, share feedback, report bugs early, and help the server grow by playing, clipping content, and bringing friends along.

Commands

These are the core commands players should know right away.

/hub Return to the lobby.
/report Report bugs or issues.
/apply Apply for staff.
/suggest Suggest ideas.
/team:team View the staff team.
/game Open the gamemode menu.
/social Open the social menu.
/contact Ask staff general questions.
Keep the command list short and memorable. Players are more likely to use the system when the important commands are easy to find.

Social System

This is one of the most important parts of HorizonGames. It helps players build long-term connections.

The Social Menu is represented by a Redstone Dust item in the lobby. It acts as the central hub for friendships, parties, and guilds.

Friends System

  • Add a friend by entering a player username to send a request.
  • Open the Social Menu to accept or deny requests.
  • Ignored requests expire automatically when the player relogs.
  • You can view your current friends list anytime.
  • Remove a friend by entering their username.

Parties

  • Invite players to join your party.
  • Party members can join gamemodes together.
  • Perfect for duos, squads, teamwork, and content creation.

Guilds

  • Guilds are long-term groups built around teamwork and competition.
  • They can climb the Guild Leaderboard through activity and gameplay.
  • Guild XP is earned through playing and staying active.
  • They give players a group identity inside the community.

Gamemodes

The main modes currently planned or available for the network.

Bedfight

1v1 or team-based PvP where breaking the enemy bed stops their respawns. Eliminate opponents to win.

Murder Mystery

One murderer, one detective, and the rest innocents. Survivors must last 5 minutes or stop the threat.

Duels

Classic 1v1 fights with different kits and skill-based combat.

Bedwars

Core team and strategy mode focused on bed defense, resource control, and elimination.

Skywars

Fast-paced island PvP where smart looting and movement decide the winner.

How to enjoy the modes more

Learn the maps, play with friends, test different strategies, and keep an eye on updates. The best players usually get good by being consistent rather than trying to win every game on day one.

Events

Events help keep the community active, unpredictable, and fun to watch.

Scheduled Event

Admin Abuse Event happens every Saturday at 8PM GMT. During this event, staff spawn fun items, trigger chaos, and create random moments for the community.

Why events matter

Events give players a reason to return regularly, create clips, invite friends, and stay involved in the server’s progression. Surprise events also help the network feel alive rather than static.

Content creators should use events as clip opportunities. Short-form videos and highlights help bring new players in faster.

Staff Applications

This section explains how applications work, what staff look for, and how to improve your chances.

Staff applications are for players who want to help HorizonGames grow, support the community, and handle moderation or creative tasks. Each role has different expectations, so the application should show that you understand what the role actually does.

Roles you can apply for

Designer

For players with art, UI, branding, thumbnail, or visual design skills.

Developer (PMMP)

For people who can create, fix, or improve PocketMine-MP plugins and systems.

Moderator

For trustworthy players who can handle reports, rule enforcement, and community interaction.

Tester

For players who enjoy finding bugs, checking balance, and helping polish features.

Media

For creators who make shorts, clips, trailers, screenshots, or promotional content.

Builder

For players who can design polished maps, lobbies, arenas, or detail work.

How the application process works

  1. The applicant fills out a form and provides a contact method.
  2. The team reviews the answers, past behaviour, and role fit.
  3. If the application is strong, the applicant may be contacted for further checking or a trial period.
  4. For roles involving interaction with non-staff users, such as Moderator, the player will be watched for their first week.
  5. After that first week, if they do well, they can be given full permissions.
For roles that affect other players directly, activity, maturity, fairness, and communication matter more than trying to sound impressive.

Tips to pass the application process

  • Be honest. Fake experience gets noticed quickly.
  • Answer in full sentences and avoid one-word replies.
  • Show that you understand HorizonGames specifically.
  • Include a real contact method so staff can reach you if needed.
  • For Designer, Developer, Builder, or Media, include a portfolio or examples of previous work.
  • For Moderator, show good judgement, patience, and understanding of rules.
  • For Tester, explain how you find bugs and what kinds of problems you notice.
  • For Media, link content that shows your style and consistency.
  • For Builder, include screenshots of builds from multiple angles.

Good application habits

A strong application feels calm, clear, and useful. It should show that you care about the server, know the community, and can help without creating more work for the team.

Best results usually come from players who already spend time on the server, understand the systems, and have a good reputation with staff and other players.

History

A simple story of where HorizonGames came from and where it is heading.

HorizonGames began in 2024 under the name JqkeNet. It started as a small experimental project by Jqke207 and slowly evolved into a full server network with more systems, more ambition, and a stronger community identity.

In 2025, it was renamed HorizonGames to match a wider vision: more gamemodes, stronger community systems, long-term progression features, and a more competitive multiplayer focus.

After nearly three years of development, testing, and plugin creation, the server was officially released. The current direction is still growth, polish, and building a server that players actually want to come back to.

Support & Contact

Use these details when you need help, want to report a bug, or need staff attention.

General support

If something is broken, confusing, or missing, use /contact or /report in-game. For bigger issues, keep a screenshot or clip ready so staff can investigate faster.

Best way to report a problem

  1. Say what happened.
  2. Say where it happened.
  3. Say what you expected to happen instead.
  4. Attach proof if possible.

Useful reminders

  • The server is still in beta, so small issues are normal.
  • Clear reports help staff fix things faster.
  • Constructive feedback is better than vague complaints.
  • Inviting friends and sharing content helps the server grow.
